The official website for the Transformers movies has updated its look to reflect the upcoming movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon which was officially revealed via Entertainment Tonight. The only difference between the leaked news and now is the dropping of a "The", amazingly creating a better title. As the pic shows, the new logo uses the same font as previous movies but with a sharper looking black and silver color scheme (ironically following the Hasbro tradition of repaints schemes being better then original). I have already modified the blog's title to reflect the new logo via the complicated process of cut and paste. Now just need to see if they also updated the Autobot and Decepticon symbols to reflect this new scheme.The site has also updated it's International Release page for when TF3 will premiere around the world. Oddly, there is no simultaneous worldwide release; instead the range is June 30th to July 11th. Thanks to NHLfan for the heads-up.

Nice move, harking back to when the first logo had the moon below, instead of inside it.
ReplyDeleteNotice that China really stands out on that list of release dates, it's 10 days behind the rest. I'm guessing the Chinese government requires more time to approve it.
ReplyDeleteOh and I think Japan's date might be a typo, unless they're a full MONTH behind - July 29th - I thought they premiered there, so it'd make sense that it's June 29th instead...
