The members at AC Toys are on a roll as they have posted more images of Transformers: Dark of the Moon toys. The latest round of posts bring images of Skids in his new black and green paint job, a possible look at Barricade with white and blue paint scheme, leader class Bumblebee, a new Human Alliance dunebuggy sorta triple changer, voyager Ratchet, and voyager Optimus Prime. The buggy may or may not be new character in the film, too early to make that leap since the movie toy line in the past has had additional toys inspired by the movie but not characters in the movie. Below are a few samples, hit the links below to view all of them. Also thanks to an anonymous site fan, here are two new images of voyager Megatron that show off the paint job really well.

ReplyDeleteJudging by the other pictures on that Flickr page, that Megatron looks to be custom painted. That's not the retail paint job.

ReplyDeletedoes it matter, from picyures of the real truck to past reveals of toys, i think it's close enough to give everyone the right image, plus the voyager megatron w/o cape looks kinda ausome compared to past toy reveals
Fairly certain that Ratchet is a fan painted custom. The back half is the original TFTM green, where the door is the darker ROTF green. As well, there is no indication that Ratchet has any symbols in the film, so they seem very out of place here. As well, it looks very hand painted and there are no indications of Mechtech ports, something that every other Voyager and Deluxe we've seen has, even the repaint of Battle Blades Bumblebee.

ReplyDeleteThat first Megatron pic is so obviously a custom paintjob by a fan. Hasbro doesn't paint shit, everyone should realize that by now. The completely unpainted Megatron figure alongside that crappy Prime figure is what you'll actually find on store shelves come this summer.

Whats the point of voyager class optimus? I have the leader class from both movies and they are the only way to go. Voyager has always looked goofy to me.

Did I explain his death now maybe? Bay and Co are not going to explain why some characters disappear,sometimes WE have to use our imagination.

yeah i'm almost certain scalpel got f'ed so hard in the ass by optimus's foot that it is almost obvious what happened to scalpel here
ReplyDeleteThe two megatron images (The professional ones) are repaints, probably by someone like Frenzy-rumble or someone along those lines.
ReplyDeleteAs for the toys they all seem a bit tacky compared to the complexity and detail from the last films toyline. For example compare them with Leader Optimus Prime from Revenge of the fallen.
Barricade is the only toy that interests me, solely because i want to see him come back and kill bumblebee (yh, i know it probably wont happen)
Oh and the scalpel debate;
ReplyDeleteIn the movie novelisation he was shot by optimus prime and exploded starting the warehouse fight.
In the comics, he simply fled and survived.
In the film he dissapears because of a continuity error as Bay`s team simply forgot about him.
