Linkin Park's Iridescent Music Video for Dark of the Moon (Updated)
MTV has posted Linkin Park's music video for Iridescent, the first single from the Transformers: Dark of the Moon The Album. The use of the various DOTM imagery, in black & white with elements pulled out, is very unique in look especially when compared to most movie related music videos that just edit in scenes from the movie. On the downside it makes it difficult to enjoy it as just a peak into the movie which I am sure Bay doesn't mind considering how much effort he has put in to lock down exactly how much the film is scene before its release. Despite that, there are some nuggets to enjoy like a look at Shockwave (:22), Sentinel Prime (1:49), Megatron's new transformation (2:31), and sweet Dweller & Shockwave pose (2:49). For international readers, sadly it seems the video is region locked. Warner Bros. is doing take down notices for anyone posting on YouTube so that isn't a lock either.

Watched it without sound.... yea its worth watching for shitty scenes with TF in it. seeing megatron was alright
ReplyDeleteIt's "Youssef El Said" again, to be honest, I dont like this music video compared to the previous ones. I mean, of course they have shown it to be more serious, but the Black and White ruins the new footage of TF3, but can't wait to see MEGATRON in action!
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm really.. REALLY.. pissed off about being canadian :/ ...Dammit!!
ReplyDelete"Sorry, were unable to offer this video to users in your region"
Really couldn't give two craps about Linkin Park or this poorly done music video. This is the best they could do? I thought I was color blind for a moment. I just watched it for the sake of Megatron and Shockwave.

ReplyDeletei bet alot of people will be upset with the video and song. but i myself actually it. i didnt at first but it grew on me a lil. cant wait for the movie. lets see how its all gonna go down
ReplyDeleteMegatrons transformation looked amazing. Can't wait to see it in the movie
ReplyDeleteThis was an amazing concept and video. LOVE IT.
ReplyDeletesorry, I'd rather not see another trailer cut to music and call it a music video. I'll save that pleasure for BAD BOYS. This was awesome. and the music is great.
Really cool video. TRANSFORMERS & LINKIN PARK: They go well together like chocolate and peanut butter. Megatron and Shockwave looked awesome, as did Sentinel Prime. I'm starting to get the sense that this will be a more mature TRANSFORMERS film. Bring it!
ReplyDeleteI'm with out a doubt pumped for this movie and i don't hate linkin park but i'm not crazy about this one, the black and white serves no justice to the cool footage of meg's, shockwave and bumble bee, i'd like to see them in a tv spot, now that would be awsome
ReplyDeleteYea more maturity is what the audience demands of this, yet the hangover 2 is breaking records.

Video is okay, not quite digging the black and white. I wish they would have showed more scenes from the movie. Megatron transformation looks cool though
