Bumblebee's Camaro Design Process and TF4 E-Jet Gallery

Long time site reader and bringer of news Feris has put together this collage that uses nearly identical angle to let you get a good look at how Bumbleebee's vehicle mode look as changed across the four movies as he has changed from 200X Chevy Camaro. My memory might be a little off but I think his year order was 2008 (TF1 top left) > 2010 (TF2 top right) > 2012 (TF3 bottom left) > 2014 (TF4 bottom right). While a little to early to be sure, the 2014 might be the best one so far.

The picture illustrates what some of what GM's Frank Caucedo discusses in the below video about the design process and motivation behind the Chevy Camaro. Also the 2013 Guangzhou Auto Exhibition in China had the E-Jet electric powered vehicle on display that was used in Transformers: Age of Extinction filming in Hong Kong. The Autobot vehicle was only seen in China so extent of its "role" and character name remains unknown. The display model shows "battle-damage" including claw marks but who knows if that is dressing specifically for filming or something added later for advertising the car. The full gallery can be found here.

  1. I don't think we still have any proof if E-Jet is a transformer or not. It's starting to feel more probable that it's just a normal car.

    2. Li bing bings role is the mother of transformers in the movie a scientist who creates transformers maybe there is a possibility that the ejet is one of her creations.

Joseph Huang, that Autobot logo is there only for promotional reasons, not bc it's an Autobot.

I never thought the E-Jet would be a TF, I always thought it will be just a car for one of the human characters. But maybe it is a TF, we'll just have to wait and see.

  2. Bumblebee's Revenge of the Fallen vehicle is the best in my opinion.
