Transforming Lego Generation One Optimus Prime
This great creation from Alex Jones shows what Hasbro never quite figured out even with their Kre-O line which is how to create a Lego creation that actually transforms. As the video and gallery links show, this is a direct Lego-ized version of G1 Optimus Prime complete with Lego trailer and Lego accessories. All it needs is a G1 style box to complete the look. The complete gallery can be found on Jones' Orion Pax Designs that includes his other Lego creations. (via Gizmodo and Brothers Brick)

Dudemus: is this all that we have to look forward to until the trailer/movie comes to the big screen?....I'm not impressed. I've seen too many stop motion vids on youtube. Tired
ReplyDeleteI am actually very impressed with this, especially considering that this is made of Lego.
ReplyDeleteIts very good, this is first that ive seen which has impressed me
DeleteDudemus:to each his own.
DeleteExactly
DeleteI HAVE to give this guy his props - no disrespect to KREO, but how can KREO name something "Transformers" and it doesn't even transform??? KREO should take notes.

ReplyDeleteThat remembers me, that I once build an Powermaster-Prime with Lego, but it wasn't as well done than this one(Especially the Legs, I make some good mech-Legs, but Transformers - let's just say I'm not as skilled as this one, and mine did lack the Powermaster-unit).
ReplyDeleteIf I were to work for Lego, I'd totally contact you for your designs, making that into official Products(wich should be sold on more Stores than TRU, My City don't have one)
The Creator should be contacted by the LEGO-Company, so this Prime could get an official Release worldwide.
ReplyDelete(I'd like to see stores like Mueller get it as well, as my City don't have an TRU)
