Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Teaser Coming This Week?

The rumor mill has started on a possible Transformers: Rise of the Beasts teaser coming either today oar tomorrow depending on source. Comic Con Experience 2022 (CCXP) in São Paulo, Brazil has a Transformers panel at 14:00 Brazil time (12pm EST) time this afternoon that might show it off. Elsewhere the Japanese account tweeted (later deleted) a date of "Friday 12/02 - 3:00pm" (1am EST).

Update: Interrupt this post with new info.  I called that one completely wrong. Was tempted to delete this post but theorizing means risking being wrong and wow was I wrong. You can find the trailer here. Continuing to previous, now incorrect, words.

I guess this is feasible but frankly I would be shocked if a trailer first debuted officially (vs. leaked) anywhere outside of the United States. From a marketing perspective, I think the goal would be a world wide release date and starting in the US tends to have that effect thanks to social media. The same can't be said of a release in Brazil or Japan. Add to that CCXP might be big deal in South America, its not San Diego Comic Con in scale. Its just not usually a location for breaking movie news, especially for Hollywood created movies. Lastly the US market is king of the box office. Brazil and Japan combined is still less then what USA brings to the table money wise. 

Having said that, the FIFA World Cup is starting its Round of 16 on Saturday, that would be prime commercial space to promote the movie. Ultimately what gives me doubt on this weekend is studios have started doing the teaser of the teaser type marketing for their tentpole movies. If Paramount was going to do a release for this weekend, they would have already started promoting it. 

If I were to bet on a teaser trailer release date, I would put my money on December 15 with Avatar: The Way of Water. The official date of the movie is December 16 but in US new movies now consistently come out on Thursday by calling it a "preview". It is marketing gimmick to boost the weekend total since those "preview" sales get combined into the weekend total. 

We will all find out soon as teaser rumors means something is in the works so its not an issue of if, just when.
