Mini-Dinobot Player Profile Video

Apparently at some point during the Super Bowl, the Transformers: The Last Knight Facebook account ran an intro on the mini-Dinobots whose average height is around 1.5 inches tall but in the video they seem to scale to be a touch smaller then a football so not quite that small but near pocket size. Mark Wahlberg spoke of them back in September so I assume what we are seeing is a version that will appear in the movie. Thanks to Feris O. for the link.

First Look at the Creation of the Dinobots from Transformers 4 Blu-ray Release

SDCC Exclusive: Transformers 4 Dinobots in G1 Colors

Hasbro has revealed what will likely be the must have set of the San Diego Comic-Con 2014. Which means it will sell out almost immediately. At a cost of a whopping $160 dollars you can get a repaint with TF4 mold versions of Voyager Grimlock, deluxe Snarl, Strafe and Slug in their gold, red and chrome look from the Generation One days. It includes a unique packaging of the Autobots G1 Ark base with Teletraan-1. Full gallery of images here. Always annoying how SDCC brings out the best stuff from toy companies for a limited window that the regular public can't enjoy or afford.

Video Reviews of Transformers 4 Dinobots and Dispensor

Below are five video reviews from the Transformers: Age of Extinction toy line. Three of them are for the deluxe sized Dinobots Slash, Strafe, and Slug. Over all they are solid additions that have some problems due to the simplified transformation sequence but manage to have solid robot and alt modes. The last video is a review of Dispensor, which is currently a Japan only release. It is sorta based on the first Transformers soda machine that became a robot due to the Allspark only the alt mode is a soda truck. It has a rather odd gimmick that took what would have been an overall great mold and made it not worth whatever the import price probably is.

How To Ride Your Dinobot

Below is a cute three-part short cartoon video done kind of Looney Tunes style to show Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Drift learning to ride, walk and fight with Dinobots. The vids are official releases from Hasbro and not fan creations.

Another New Dinobot Appears in New TV Spot for Transformers 4

Via PopSugar, here is the third (for US anyway) TV spot of the day called "Help" for Transformers: Age of Extinction. It has a great scene that briefly shows all four Dinobots charging into battle as Prime commands "Autobots, roll out!". While the previous spot showed Slug, you can just see Scorn's head chasing a car.

First Look at Slog and Snarl

Via a Frito-Lay's Transformers 4 tie-in campaign in Turkey, we now have the first look at Slog (not a typo for Slug) and Snarl along with a look at Strafe's robot mode. I assume these are based on the CGI models for the film but so far Grimlock and Strafe are the only confirmed Dinobots in the film. The rest of the campaign images for other characters including Crosshairs, Hound and Lockdown can be found here.

Video Review of Transformers 4 Deluxe Slug

Another Dinobot toy video review is up. Before it was Scorn, now its Slug. In the G1 days the character was called Slag but it turns out in the UK that Slag = slut hence the name change. Again this one has not been confirmed if in the movie (but I assume he is) and if he is as colorful as the toy is. Very simple but surprisingly effective transformation.

Video Review of Transformers 4 Deluxe Scorn

Yep another video review of a Transformers: Age of Extinction toy. This one is for the Dinobot Scorn which I assume will be in the movie but that hasn't been really confirmed. Maybe in a future trailer. The deluxe sized figure looks pretty solid over all with a good transformations sequence.

New Transformers: Age of Extinction Toys in Package Images

From the transformers_movie Instagram account, here are new images of some of the deluxe class figure in packaging for the Transformers: Age of Extinction toy line set for release around mid-May. Other than providing a good look at the robot and vehicle mode, it also gives you a good look at the CGI face art for Crosshairs, Bumblebee, Scorn, and Slug. Thanks to Feris O. for the heads-up.

Toy Fair Confirms Galvatron, More Age of Extinction Dinobots, New Video Game

Toy Fair 2014 continued today in New York. Today provided a look at what Hasbro plans for teens (and adult collectors) that are not going to be quite satisfied with the simplistic transformations introduced yesterday. The reveals do indicate that teen and adult fans will get their chance to enjoy multi-step transformations for Transformers: Age of Extinction characters that is based on what Hasbro learned when doing the Generations/Classic toys from the last few years. From those revealed, it is now officially confirmed that Galvatron is the black and dark grey 2014 Freightliner Argosy and likely the other big bad of the movie (besides Lockdown). In addition five Dinobot characters are now confirmed: Grimlock (T-Rex), Strafe (two-headed pterodactyl), Scorn (spinosaurus), Slash (velociraptor), and Slug (triceratops). So far only Grimlock and Strafe have been spotted in the Super Bowl trailer, hopefully upcoming trailers will tease the other three and apparently all five of them do transform at some point in the movie.

Transformers 4 Box Art Confirm Dinobots

While the toys themselves have not started to leak, thanks to Weibo's @HarryHuo we have images of the box art that will be used for the voyager boxes when they are released (probably sometime in May). The images show Transformers: Age of Extinction's version of Optimus Prime on the outside with the inside insert depicting Grimlock, Swoop (or Strafe) and Slag (or Slug) in their Dinobot modes on the inside. The Hasbro name leaks from a few months ago indicates the Dinobots are probably getting new names (likely for copyright/trademark reasons). This is further supported by new TF4 toy listings (below) on Wal-Mart's online store. Thanks to Feris O. for the heads-up.
