Behind the Scenes Videos Confirms A Decepticon, New Enemy and Locations

Another day of news coming from Transformers 3 production. For the last few weeks a security truck was spotted, including in a news report, that looked liked the Decepticon logo. Thanks to the first video below, that can now be confirmed (Shockwave's alt mode?). The end of the video might shows some of the planning that goes into making sure a scene goes off without incident or injury for a scene that will be filmed at "Hotchkiss Gould Investments" aka the local 7/11 and the Milwaukee Art Museum (the magic of movies). The scene involves Rosie (Carly), Patrick (Dylan), Megatron and a "new Autobot". It seems the scene is a continuation of scenes shot back in Milwaukee based on the participants the use of the same armored truck that was used at the Museum. A source has indicated that Chicago is the setting of a battle between a large new Autobot, 9 new human characters (probably the NEST team) and Transformers: The Movie level of death. Which doesn't sound like things go well for Ironhide.

The 7/11 location is also the same location of the pictures with Patrick Dempsey looking dangerous with a gun. As the second video shows, he is not a friend of Shia's Sam Witwicky since the two seem to be duking it out on top of the debris which matches with the other pictures of the two climbing on roof debris as Shia lays out on the ground and Dempsey looks into the air. The last video is what any video set for Transformers 3 needs - an explosion. That was filmed at The Park at Lakeshore East a day or so ago.

The last bit of news is info on where to find TF3 production which is scheduled to end on August 19th. According to the On Location Vacation an upcoming location is "at 35 E. Wacker Drive (the old Jewelers' Building) and will close portions of Wabash and Wacker on July 31 and August 1st." The site also provides a few details on Ron Howard's The Dilemma which will be filming in the city. Thanks to Sam for armored car link, Chris for the fight video link and Ray for the explosion and location links.

The movie toy line has a Decepticon Armored van named Payload. So it appears to be him.

  10. This as Soundwave reminds me of a fan made prototype for the first movie

  11. I remember seeing that fan art and honestly I don't really mind it too much. If they just had the right colors it would be awesome since obviously we won't have a G1 Soundwave. the very least I'm hoping Bay will give us is Soundwave's voice.

  12. I really don’t think the armored van will be Shockwave…too small. I’d be surprised if either Shockwave or Soundwave have earth vehicle alternate modes. In fact, if the secret is out I’d be surprised if many of the new Decepticons have earth alternate modes unless they are hiding in plain sight, working along side evil humans like Patrick Dempsey’s character.

  13. I think the SLS is a decepticon.

  14. @anon, did you watch the second TF movie? They have Soundwaves voice loud and clear in the movie. Its actually the voice Welker did for the original Soundwave, before they digitized it.

I'm hoping that you meant Shockwave and not Soundwave. If so, I agree it would be cool to have Shockwave with the same voice as G1 had. Odd, but cool.

  15. This movie is going to be so cool

  16. Oh, so they've got evil humans in the story now? Nice! Reminds me of that one scientist that sided with the Decepticons in G1

  17. The SLS is that Einstein bot

  18. Hopes for TF3:
    More transformer dialogue
    Starscream v. Silverbolt
    Starscream v. Megatron
    NASCAR cars are throttlebots
the ferrari isnt Cliffjumper or Windcharger
    bay cameo
    Starscream disliking soundwave ad shockwave
    Ravage returns
Rosie does great and makes people totally forget about megan

as little of Ron and Judy as possible
more than two major transformers and humans die
    more chases
    less bumblebee and optimus
    more hand-to-hand fighting between transformers

    ReplyDelete
  19. Well, "Transformers: the Movie" style death...
That probably means you can say goodbye to Optimus, Ironhide, Ratchet, Megatron, Starscream, and probably more.

(I also think Shockwave shouldn't have an earth mode. He is too big for it.)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Soundwave is about the same size as Megatron
Shockwave is bigger than bumblebee but smaller than optimus

So far the biggest transformer after the constructicons and demolishor was Grindor the helicopter from ROTF

  21. Honestly i think they all might die, especially if unicron comes...like the only way to destroy him would be by destroying all transformers sparks

  24. "A source has indicated that Chicago is the setting of a battle between a large new Autobot, 9 new human characters (probably the NEST team) and Transformers: The Movie level of death." cn someone explain this to me?

    ReplyDelete
  25. yeah, can someone explain that to me too? i dont get the "and Transformers: The Movie level of death." does that mean all the big deaths are gonna be in the final battle?

    ReplyDelete
  26. a large autobot?! i've said it all along...OMEGA!!! especially since they're gonna film at the space station in florida...maybe just at the end he takes off and saves the day? and shockwave as an armored truck...don't think so.

  27. Kinda SPOILER:
Nelson stated that the blue Mercedes is NOT Jolt; but the Einstein-bot.
(An awkward question, excuse me: Who is Nelson? I mean what is his position in the crew?)

  28. In the cartoon movie Transformers, they basically killed off all the original transformers except Bumblebee, Jazz, and the Dinobots.

yes I did see TF2 and did hear the voice done by Welker and no I mean Soundwave's voice in GI..digitized...I like it much better than the movie voice....it's the most recognizable voice by a lot of TF fans.

I do agree though Shockwave's G1 voice would be cool to have.

A large Autobot could be the emergence of Superion. Silverbolt is confirmed anyways for TF 3.
