In time for a little Christmas Eve fun is more leaks of potential Transformers: Dark of the Moon toys with images of the packaging and instructions for Voyager Megatron along with a look at a DOTM Optimus Prime and more Ironhide. The images are thanks to DOTMToys.com and mirrored below and other various websites.Probably the coolest of the set is full verification that the Mad Max tanker truck is Megatron. While the previous pictures were close in how to transform, it seems the cape/tarp is designed to cover Megatron's scarred face. In addition it gives you a first look at the packaging design for Dark of the Moon and reveals the "MechTech" gimmick. Mirror at TFormers.
"The latest battle enhancement equipped by Transformers warriors is the Mechtech weapons system. Weapons work with any Mechtech Transformers figure. (Each sold Separately) Create new weapons with Mechtech combinations!"
As for Ironhide, while the previous leak showed an incomplete figure that was speculated to be Leader class, now know he remains a Voyager class figure that doesn't seem that much different than his previous versions. Mirror of images at TFormers.
Last is a look at a toy version of Optimus Prime from Transformers 3. The shape and design seems to suggest that this isn't a deluxe class version of the figure despite its size but something else. It reminds me of the Activators line but also suggested it might be the "Cyberverse Plus" class first came up a few months ago. More images can be found at Seibertron and TFW2005. I wonder if Hasbro may ditch the Leader Class versions and go with Voyager and Deluxe Class versions for their flagship DOTM line. Condersing that OP would also have to have a trailer along with Megatron, there's no way Hasbro would put out a Leader Class trailer. I hope I'm wrong! Because that would be sooo awesome.

this is just the voyager class their ok ironhide looks like more to the hunt for the decepticons deluxe class i really hope to see more better ones !

ReplyDeleteIronhides new model is sooooo friggin badass and amazing, i love instead of 2 big guns he has one gigantic gun, and his shoulders are asimmetrical and the wheels under his chest, cant wait to see the movie version

ReplyDeleteIn terms of scale in Transformers Megatron was a few feet taller than Prime; in ROTF they appeared to be about the same height; it now appears that unless Prime will include his trailer in his transformation(unlikely given the posted images) that he will be significantly smaller than Megatron.

I'm a bit on the fence about Megatron having a cape...his wearing it to hide his scarred/deformed face could be pretty cool or it could look corny. Ultimately time will tell.
Now that Megatron will have an earth alternate mode I wonder if Soundwave, Shockwave and other new Decepticons will have earth alternate modes?
I like the films dont get me wrong, but I always thought starscream should have been way taller then optimus like his altmode would have allowed, then it would at least look like starscream wasnt a bitch, and imagine what an awsome villain he would make, and megatron to be even taller then that, and the only way optimus could add up to thier height would be by use of combining with the trailer,
