Freedom TV Spot & Two New Posters

Yet another TV spot for Transformers: Dark of the Moon to go along with what some sites are calling the "final" trailer for the movie but to me is a 60 second TV spot. Also two new posters to promote the 3D and IMAX 3D versions of the movie.

New IMAX 3D Poster and Movie Stills

Fandango has posted an image of the new Transformers: Dark of the Moon IMAX 3D poster. The image is similar to the others with a ruined Chicago in the background but Prime is on his knees but clearly ready to continue the fight. The picture size is on the small size but sure a larger one will pop up soon. In addition, the Huffington Post has five new movie stills to join the other ones.

New Transformers: Dark of the Moon Banner

ShockYa has posted a new banner for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. It is essentially a combination of the recent theatrical poster with the Optimus Prime banner (and standee). On a related note, Apple Trailers and Yahoo Movies! now have the trailer and 3D version available in 1080p. Thanks to Feris Othman for the heads-up.

New Transformers: Dark of the Moon Bumblebee Poster?

GeekTryant has posted what might be a new poster for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. With all the fan creations it is hard to tell but the poster if near identical to the unofficial Optimus Prime poster that made the rounds and was used by Hasbro. Official or not, it is still a cool looking.

Dark of the Moon Theatre Display

If you hit your local theatre you might have a sweet new display to take in as it seems a new Transformers: Dark of the Moon display is starting to hit theatres. The display is based off of the Optimus Prime banner only with a more 3D that is pretty cool to see in person as the image from Winston Ray (thanks) shows. I just got back from seeing Priest (it was so-so) and my theatre has one set up too so probably rolling out pretty fast everywhere.

Two Fake Dark of the Moon Posters

Two new fake Transformers: Dark of the Moon posters have popped up online. The first image is for IMAX 3D version of the film but it seems like a photo shop job as the Prime half face looks like it is from the first movie poster. As for the second poster, it is missing the usual info that is on posters plus I do believe that is The Fallen in the background. So while it is fake, it is a sharp looking image and gives you a nice contract between a well done fake and a poorly done fake. Thanks to Feris Othman for the links.

New Transformers: Dark of the Moon Poster (Updated)

With the release of a new trailer comes the release of a new poster via Yahoo Movies! This one shows Optimus Prime with a destroyed Chicago in the background with Sam and Carly. Thanks to Richard P., Feris Othman, v1p3rS, and Sahara.

Update: Swapped out the poster with the hi-res image provided by MichaelBay.com. Thanks to AiC Hokie for the link.

DOTM Shockwave Banner (Updated)

A third banner has been posted on Yahoo! Movies for Transformers: Dark of the Moon that features Shockwave. To my knowledge this is the first official look at the character even though leaked images posted for kids books and the video game had already gave it away.. Previous banners were for Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. All three have the same devastated Chicago background but with certain elements moved around like the spaceships and smoke effects. I am betting that Megatron is probably next. Thanks to Scott C. for the link.

Update: Nelson has posted all three banners in Hi-Res here. Thanks to NHLfan for the link.

DOTM Bumblebee Banner

Yahoo! Movies has revealed a new companion advertising banner to go with the Optimus Prime one from last week. It is an image of Bumblebee in the foreground and a near identical image of a devastated Chicago in the background. About the only difference I can tell is they added more smoke and took one ship away. Thanks to Richard P for the pic.

New Optimus and Sentinel Prime Movie Images

Today has been a bit of a media blitz (see next post) about Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The volume would make you think the trailer was released today but Michael Bay has already confirmed that we all will have to wait two more weeks. In the meantime the various articles about the movie has shown off an a truly awesome promo image of Optimus Prime with gun and blade extended with a devasted Chicago in the background. In addition a new image of Sentinel Prime has leaked thanks to Lyricis Interactive (mirrored by Collider). Thanks to Chris and Sahara for link.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon First Teaser Trailer and Poster

The first teaser trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon is now live. Links below to MB.com, Apple Trailers and YouTube.

Also, as you can see to the left, the actual official teaser poster for Transformers 3. Not really sure what is going on in that regard as the Prime poster is official in some capacity (someone with access to the Prime model to create it) and Hasbro is using it. For my purposes I consider one the Hasbro Teaser Poster and the other the Paramount teaser poster.
Apple Trailers | MichaelBay.com | YouTube HD

The leaked description is accurate, here is my summary.
Begins with words of July 20th, 1969 (date of the moon landing)
Apollo 11 traveling to and orbiting the moon.
Cut to words: "A Generation's Greatest Achievement"
Archival footage of landing and saying "The Eagle has landed"
Cut to words: "Our Nation's Proudest Moment"
Re-creating walking on moon with "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
Cut to words: "A Secret Hidden for 40 Years."
While Walter Cronkite reports that Apollo 11 is out of communications range on the far side of the moon, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin are really investigating a crashed starship full of Transformers. Armstrong reports "the hull has been breached. Extensive damage. No signs of life or movement... You cannot believe what we are seeing. ...We are not alone after all...
Cut to camera traveling across the moon surface, to and through the ship, into a Transformers face (with "mustache"), and continuing into his eye and insides that change to the Dark of the Moon logo followed by the release date of July 1st, 2011.

Based on the brief images of dead Transformers, I suspect this is the Ark as the faces showed an Autobot structure. We saw the Nemesis marooned elsewhere (Mars I think) in Revenge of the Fallen and it had to have been fighting something. Based on the face and the mustache, I suspect the Transformers at the end of the sequence is Alpha Trion, one of the original 13 Transformers and protector of Cybertron. Thanks to Michael, V1p3rs and Rak33n for the YouTube links.

Update: Added link to HD version on YouTube (great for looking at full screen). I have the embed version above in HD also. If interested in screen captures, TFW2005 has posted many here.

Transformers 3 Official Teaser Poster?

Update: Turns out this is not the official poster from Paramount but since Hasbro has been using it and someone had to have access to the digital Prime model, I am just arbitrarily calling this the Hasbro teaser poster just because it’s a pretty cool image of Optimus. The official poster is here.

The official teaser poster for Transformers: Dark of the Moon has hit the internet as multiple sites, including ShockYa, just in time for the teaser trailer release tomorrow. The image is probably familiar to Transfans if been keeping up with Transformers 3 news. The image shows Optimus Prime in an action hero post usually reserved for the lead actor. This same image was first spotted back in June for the Licensing International Expo that was held in Las Vegas. The image was tweeted again months from what may have been another convention. Finally the image hit official status when it was used as part of a Hasbro insert in latest wave of toy announcing the official release date of the TF3 toys as May 16th, 2011. Prime will probably be popping up in theatres very soon.

New Blog Logo, Posters (Updated)

Brief blog note. Big thanks to Jeffrey of Pixel Rally for the new blog title, especially the sweet Autobot and Decepticon symbols with the Moon in them to match the new logo for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. What do you think?

Update: Jeffrey was kind enough to make public his designs for the Decepticon and Autobot logos along with two posters of his own creation. These are not official designs for the movie, but inspired by the current title design. The four images can be found here. If you do snag em for your websites or whatever, just make sure to give Jeffery and Pixel Rally the credit.

Transformers 3 Teaser Poster? Nope (Updated)

TFormers.com has posted a possible teaser poster for Transformers: The Dark of the Moon that "Bru No" spotted at a hotel conference room. It is hard to tell if it is the real deal but includes a good look at the head of Shockwave as floats behind the image of the moon emblazed with the Decepticon logo and the tagline "Be Afraid of the Dark."

Update: Bumping up this post from 10/27/10 as to probably the surprise of no-one, the poster is a fake. Michael Bay did another one of his random drive-by on his official forums, posting, "Total fake poster. The story logline is also a misdirect." Thanks to NHLfan for the heads-up.

Teaser Poster, More Explosions, and Galleries from Weekend

Transformers 3 production continued this weekend in Chicago, most of it focused on State Street and Wacker Drive. Before get to that, here is a much better look at the Transformer 3 teaser poster made for the convention circuit that debut back in June. The image was tweeted by EleOcho but not sure from what convention. Info found via TFormers.

Back to the filming, Pixel Rally has posted more images from the Shia vs. Patrick fight sequence that is being filmed at Wabash and Wacker Drive. Below are sample images that from the set that has Sam wielding a steel rod with clear intent to use it indicating a vicious, mean fight for survival. The full gallery of images can be found here. PopSugar also has a gallery from the same scene filming.

This brings us to the weekend action at State Street and Wacker Drive that has a bus exploding and most of the male cast apparently involved in a firefight. The image to the right is an ornamental spire on a building at the location. This seems to match the debris that Shia and Patrick are fighting on. That image along with the 1st video below comes from a set report posted on Seibertron.com that provides a little first witness testimony along with pictures of Josh, Tyrese and Bay at work.

The second video shows a bus exploding into two halves as soldiers open fire on a probable Decepticon. Another video of the sounds of the firefight and images can be found at the Movie Chronicles. If you need a Transformers vehicle fix, the last two videos below), also found by the site gives you a nice close up look at The Wreckers and Optimus Prime as they leave their storage location.

First Transformers 3 Poster and Bumblebee Prop

The Licensing International Expo currently being held at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas has shown off what could be the first poster for Transformers 3 and the modified "mature" version of Bumblebee. The poster is pretty straight forward with Optimus Prime standing tall and words "TF3 July 1, 2010". Likely the poster is just a quick mock-up made for the Expo. Images from SuperComicBook movie below. Thanks to Christopher and Daniel for the link.
