Titus Welliver Teases his Shark-like Transformers 4 Character

While attending the premiere of Arnold Schwarzenegger's Sabotage, Titus Welliver briefly commented with TheArnoldFans.com about his role of Savoy in Transformers: Age of Extinction.

TheArnoldFans: What can you tell me about your role in the upcoming Transformers?
Titus Welliver: I basically play the shark, like the shark of JAWS. I play this (Navy) Seal who has been tasked with eradicating the world of Transformers. Since the battle in Chicago in the previous film, they've now become outlawed so i'm in charge of a group of guys who are doing that.

Descriptions of Transformers 4 CinemaCon Footage

As previously mentioned, around 14 minutes of footage was shown from Transformers: Age of Extinction to attendee's of CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Yesterday was light on details but today various websites have now provided a description of what was shown. In most cases it really is just longer versions of the scenes teased in the trailers. Titus Welliver Comments on Transformers 4

In an interview with The Nerdist to promote his potential new series Bosch (based on Michael Connolly's series of excellent books), Titus Welliver briefly commented on Transformers: Age of Extinction.

“I’ve now won the hard earned respect of my children because I’m in a Transformers film, and I’ve always wanted to work with Michael Bay and certainly Mark Wahlberg and Kelsey Grammer.” And what can fans look forward to in this installment? “It’s a bit more of a darker vision of the Transformers world… It’s not a kids movie, I’ll tell you that much.”

I can't really disagree considering it's likely PG-13 rating but good luck to parents keeping their kids away considering the movie has the killer combo of transforming dinosaurs.

New Transformers: Age of Extinction Plot, Character Details?

Brazilian site Omelete has posted a new, more detailed description for the story and main human characters for Transformers: Age of Extinction. This has not been officially confirmed but does go along with previous synopsis, interview info and leaked information from the past few months so inclined to believe its accuracy. Images from Transformers 4 Hong Kong Set (Updated)

Transformers: Age of Extinction continues to film in Hong Kong, China. Information remains light but TFW2005 forum members did manage to get a few pictures. It seems that Titus Welliver has joined the rest of the main cast so the only ones missing at this point is Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer. A few new cars were also spotted but as usual its unclear if these are TF alt modes or serve some other purpose. The identified new vehicles are a blue Kawasaki, two Audi S6, Cadillac CTS, white Lamborghini Gallardo, black Ferrari and maybe a Bentley. As for what is being filmed, that remains unknown but Titus being on the set indicates it ties into whatever was filmed in the Lockhart, Texas back in June. Transformers 4 Call Sheet Reveals Character Names, Story Spoilers

An image of a Transformers 4 call sheet has been posted on Reddit that reveals the first names of most of the key cast, names of several Transformers and story tidbits including confirming a long time rumor. The image is a bit tiny as a screenshot from an iPhone but has enough detail to read the entire call sheet which breaks down which characters, vehicles, and scenes that are being filmed on the day and the days ahead.

Titus Welliver Joins Transformers 4 Cast

Transformers fans have known for about a month that Titus Welliver had probably joined the Transformers 4 cast. Deadline has caught up with an "exclusive" confirming the casting. Before it just seemed likely but nothing official to back it up but Deadline has the access to confirm things like this. While you may not be familiar with his name, you probably known his face from pretty much every procedure TV show on the air as he always pops up in a guest starring role on them at some point in their life span. Basically he is a solid addition to the cast and hopefully doing more than the movie equivalent of a cameo. Thanks to Wynton R. for the link.

Titus Welliver Joins Transformers 4 Cast?

A new image indicates that television mainstay Titus Welliver has been cast in Transformers 4 for some unknown role. The picture was taken recently at the Lockhart, Texas set by by Nicole_4_Eva. The actor probably looks familiar as it seems every drama on TV is required to hire him for at least one episode but he did enjoy longer stays on shows like The Good Wife and Sons of Anarchy. The actor was on set for scenes with Jack Reynor and Mark Wahlberg so the role has something to do with them but who knows what. While is a great actor with range, TV shows tend to have him play variations of a bad guy, be it actual or some bureaucratic obstacle.
